Ancient Egypt
Today,
Unfortunately
there is not too much left because most was destroyed either by
humans or time. In this page I intend to show you a part of what’s
left from this great civilization.
I will take you on a tour trough the most ancient monuments on the
planet.
Most of the photographs were made by me during my journey to Egypt
in October 2007. I have also used photographs from other sources.
According to the
standard theory (supported by most of the egyptologists) the ancient
Egypt civilization originated around 3000 b.c.
Other scientists like John Anthony West develop the theory that
egyptian civilization is much older. According to that theory the
sphinx statue is more than 10 000 years old and the reason to it’s
damaged surface is that there was a large amount of rains during
that period.
Whereas a few years ago by the means of supersonic technology was
discovered that the front right paw of the sphinx is hollow and
forms a chamber which contains ancient papyruses describing
different ancient technologies (Edgar Casey). Unfortunately the
Egyptian authorities does not permit for the chamber to be opened.
Both theories have their supporters but I (as a building engineer)
tend to believe the second because of the fact that most of the
ancient monuments could not be built with the help of modern
machinery, then much less with primitive instruments. In places
like the temple of Kom Ombo, Edfu and others there are raised
pillars that weight around 10 tons and are mounted with accuracy of
millimeters and obelisks that are carved from one piece and weight
much more. All this makes me think that we (as a civilization) do
not know a lot about the ancients and most of the egyptologists are
fooling us by showing us animations with egyptians building pyramids
by using hammers and burins and dragging huge stone blocks by using
ramps.
I seriously doubt that the truth about this ancient civilization
will be brought to light.
The reason for creating ancientegyptoday.com is I could not find
high quality pictures for the ancient monuments in the internet and
also that I am a great enthusiast on this theme.
